Teacher: Nicole Kreiling
School: Ponderosa Elementary School
Coleten has been in the Intensive Learning Center with Mrs. Nicole since Kindergarten. With 2 different diagnosis, as well as speech delay, Coleten learns differently than his typical age peers. Keeping him focused can sometimes be a real challenge.
Mrs. Nicole has been instrumental in Coleten’s success at Ponderosa. She has always made time to discuss Coleten’s progress when things are going great as well as being open to suggestions and offering ideas when we are facing a challenge. She attends trainings to learn about new ways to assist the students she teaches. She always has new ideas and fun projects for the students. We appreciate that she is constantly brainstorming with us new ways to help keep Coleten focused and challenged.
Coleten has come a long way. There is no way he would be as far along as he is if it weren’t for Mrs. Nicoles’ dedication, support and ongoing communication with us. She recognizes his potential & is motivated each year to see Coleten succeed. As parents of a special needs child, we could not ask for anything more.
Each day the kids at Ponderosa recite the Panda Pledge. The pledge states that “As Pandas we show integrity by being respectful, responsible & fair minded. We strive to persevere.” Nicole makes sure that not only our son holds true to these ideals, but she holds herself and her ILC colleagues to these same standards.
Thank you to Mrs. Nicole Kreiling for her ongoing perseverance & dedication to her ILC students!
