Thompson School District has announced more information regarding the community survey that was authorized earlier this year by the district Board of Education. The district has contracted with National Research Center, Inc. (NRC) to conduct the survey, which will assist the board and the administration in assessing public opinion about a wide array of points of interest pertaining to the district.
A total of 1,800 registered voters from within TSD’s taxing district were randomly selected to participate in the survey. Voters who have been selected to participate will soon receive an introductory postcard via U.S. Mail that contains more information, followed by a copy of the survey approximately one week later. NRC will collect and analyze all data and prepare a report for the district Board of Education and staff. Results are anticipated to be presented to the board in June.
The surveys are anonymous in nature and will have no name associated with the data that residents return to the research firm. A Spanish version of the survey will be available upon request. For residents that are chosen to participate, it is extremely important that they fill out the document in its entirety and return it as requested, even if they do not currently have students who attend district schools. The survey is designed to gauge the opinion of the community as a whole.
